Drawing recognition
Lucile Bartelmay, at left, a longtime volunteer for the Canfield Blood Drive, was honored recently by Dublin Grange of Canfield for her 27 years of service to the American Red Cross. In recognition of her achievement, Bartelmay, who is retiring from the volunteer position, received a certificate designating her as an Outstanding Community Citizen. Since 1975, it has become a tradition of the Grange to honor a nonmember with the award. Making the presentation this year was Michelle Combis, Grange master, at right. Recognized at the meeting for their years of service to the Grange were Vada Reel, 60 years; Elsie DeHoff, 51 years; and Ken Reel with 50 years. Speakers for the event were Frank and Doris Cavanaugh, who presented a program on “Canfield from 1935 to 1965.”
