Sunday’s scheduled baseball doubleheader between Youngstown State and Wright State was canceled due to rain and wet conditions at Eastwood Field.
The games will not be made up.
The Senior Day festivities will be rescheduled for Tuesday prior to the game against Pittsburgh, which is set for 6 p.m.

Mount Union will be awarded a record 12th Ohio Athletic Conference Men’s All-Sports Trophy and seniors Annie Patton and Bill Schindel will be honored with OAC Clyde Lamb Awards tonight at the OAC’s Awards Dinner in Columbus.
The Purple Raiders won five men’s OAC championships during the 2010-11 year with title in football, men’s cross country, wrestling, men’s outdoor track and field and men’s golf.
Mount Union totalled 80.5 points as each team’s finish is given a point total and added together.
Baldwin-Wallace won the women’s all-sports trophy for a record 14th time with 77.5 points.
Cleveland marathon again sets record
CLEVELAND
Nearly 19,000 runners have again set a record for registrants at the Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon, now in its 34th year.
Winners in the Sunday race are R.P. White of Ypsilanti, Mich., with a time of 2:26:59 in the men’s field and Nicole Camp of Sterling, Ohio, with a time of 2:43:47 in the women’s race.
The Plain Dealer newspaper reports that this year’s entries surpassed the 15,600 a year ago.
The race’s three flagship events are the 10K, the half-marathon and the full marathon. It also offers a 5K and a kids’ run.
Djokovic beats Nadal for Italian Open title
ROME
Novak Djokovic extended his recent mastery over top-ranked Rafael Nadal with a 6-4, 6-4 win in the Italian Open final Sunday that stretched the Serb’s unbeaten start this year to 37 matches.
The second-ranked Djokovic has defeated Nadal in all four finals they’ve played this year. He beat the Spaniard for the first time on clay in last week’s Madrid Open final.
Djokovic has now become the first player to beat Nadal on clay twice in the same year, a feat that comes exactly a week before the French Open starts.
Djokovic could overtake Nadal for the No. 1 ranking the week after Roland Garros.
Dolgopolov advances to second round at Nice
NICE, France
Alexandr Dolgopolov of Ukraine and Adrian Mannarino of France won in straight sets Sunday to move into the second round of the Open de Nice.
The fifth-seeded Dolgopolov beat Filippo Volandri of Italy 7-5, 6-3 to advance to play Pere Riba of Spain or Guillaume Rufin of France, while Mannarino defeated Somdev Devvarman of India 6-3, 7-6 (7) to next face second-seeded Tomas Berdych of the Czech Republic, who got a first-round bye.
Dolgopolov dropped serve twice, hitting four double-faults and landing only 43 percent of his first serves, but converted four of 12 break points.
Contador takes pink jersey, wins 9th stage
ETNA, Italy
Giro d’Italia favorite Alberto Contador surged to his first stage win of this year’s race Sunday and took the leader’s pink jersey from Pieter Weening.
The three-time Tour de France winner finished the 104.7-mile ninth stage from Messina in 4 hours, 54 minutes, 8 seconds, with Jose Rujano three seconds behind.
“The plan worked today,” Contador said. “We had some doubts at times because the race was so slow, but we thought we should try it. (Vincenzo) Nibali stayed with me for a while, but I went and managed to hold on for the win.
Stefano Garzelli then led the chasing pack across the line for third, 50 seconds behind Contador. Overall, Contador has a 59-second lead over Kanstantsin Sivtsov.
