The Wissingers to be honored on anniversary

SPRINGFIELD, OHIO

A family gathering has been planned for May 28 in Springfield in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Benton H. Wissinger Jr., formerly of Youngstown, who are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary.

The former Dorthy Seymour and Mr. Wissinger were united in marriage June 2, 1951, at Epworth Methodist Church in Youngstown.

Prior to her marriage, Mrs. Wissinger worked at the General Fireproofing Co. She sang with the Sweet Adelines for many years.

Mr. Wissinger served in World War II as a member of the U.S. Coast Guard, and retired from General Fireproofing in April 1985.

The couple have a daughter, Wendy (Wayne) Sears, two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
