Rain again causes flooding across Valley

Rain pummeled the Mahoning Valley again Saturday, causing widespread flooding.
In Canfield Township, the state Route 11 southbound ramp on U.S. Route 224 had to be shut down because of high water.
High water was reported in parts of Canfield city and Austintown as well.
In Trumbull County, a resident on Niles-Cortland Road Northeast in Cortland called the 911 Center to report basement flooding up to the stairs.
It was a similar scene at a home on Griffith Drive Northeast in Mecca.
In Howland, a resident of North Road Southeast reported water coming into the home. The woman said it broke out her windows and was over the furnace and hot-water tank.
On Rosewood Drive Northeast in Howland, a caller told dispatchers that water was flowing into an apartment building.
In Greene Township, a car was reported stuck in the water on state Route 46, and water covered the road on Route 46 in Bazetta, near the Mecca line.
