July wedding set by Miss Malys and Mr. Gotro

Dr. Joseph and Terry Malys of Boardman are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Katy Ann Malys, and Duane Douglas Gotro, both of Columbus.

The prospective groom is a son of Deborah Gotro-Esicar of Hannibal, Mo., and the late Craig Gotro.

Miss Malys earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from Youngstown State University and attended the Aveda Institute. She is the owner of Salon Katy May at Salon Lofts in Grandview, Ohio.

Mr. Gotro graduated from Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering. He is a market development manager at Entrotech Inc. in Columbus.

The couple have planned a wedding for 2:30 p.m. July 30 at St. Joseph Cathedral in Columbus. Invitations will be issued for their reception at the Columbus Athenaeum.
