Canter-Parsons engagement is announced

POLAND

The engagement of Deanna Canter, a daughter of Donna Canter of Poland and the late Robert P. Canter Sr., and Jon Parsons, a son of James and Lucinda Parsons of Youngstown, is announced by her mother.

Miss Canter graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor of business administration degree in accounting and is an accountant with Lawrence County Community Action Partnership in New Castle, Pa.

Mr. Parsons is self-employed and is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business administration at YSU.

St. Matthias Church in Youngstown has been chosen by the couple for their open wedding at 2 p.m. Aug. 27. Invitations will be issued for their evening reception at St. Nicholas Byzantine Center at the Grove in Youngstown.
