Parents announce Zappa-Torchio engagement

The engagement of Mallory Zappa and Christian Torchio, both of Erie, Pa., is announced by their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Zappa of Hubbard, and Noel Torchio and Sheryl Torchio, both of Erie.

The bride-elect graduated from Kent State University with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in architecture. She is a product engineer with Great Lakes Case and Cabinet Co. in Edinboro, Pa.

The prospective groom earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Gannon University and graduated from KSU with a master’s degree in architecture. He is an architect with Kidder, Wachter Architecture and Design in Erie.

The couple have planned an open wedding for 2 p.m. Sept. 24 at St. Columba Cathedral in Youngstown. Their reception will be by invitation in the lobby of Powers Auditorium in Youngstown.
