Megan Williams and Michael Bodnar, both of Austintown, are engaged to be married, their parents announce.

She is the daughter of Dave Williams and Gerry Williams, both of Austintown; and he is the son of Karen and Jim Metzinger of Canfield, and Richard and Ann Bodnar of Gastonia, N.C.

The couple are planning an open wedding for 2:30 p.m. Aug. 27 at Smith Corners United Methodist Church in Austintown. Invitations will be issued for a reception at Mahoning Country Club in Girard.

The bride-elect graduated from Casal Aveda Institute after completing managing cosmetology courses. She works at the front desk of Casal’s de Spa & Salon in Howland.

The prospective groom works as a laborer for Doran Concrete in New Castle, Pa.
