The students of Joy Bucci's preschool class were ready for spring with the bunny decorations brightening up their room. Also adding some beauty to the classroom were the tulips Bucci and her assistant teacher, Judy Greene, received from their students.
The students of Brant's preschool classroom received a big surprise when they returned from a bathroom break. The Easter bunny had visited and left candy for the kids to find. The excitement for the Easter bunny showed on the student's faces.

On April 20, the students of Janice Brant and Joy Bucci’s Union Preschool classrooms celebrated Easter by gathering for lunch, singing, dancing and plenty of spring merriment.
Brant and her assistant teacher, Linda DeLost, started their Easter celebrations by placing bunny ears on their students and serving a lunch of vegetables, cheese, and small cookies and treats.
Observing her students wearing bunny ears and munching on carrots, Brant joked with her preschoolers.
“I think my class might have turned into little bunnies. I’ll have to change how I teach because I’m not teaching regular kids anymore,” she joked.
In Bucci’s classroom, the student’s Easter lunch was merely a break during a day full of holiday activities. Bucci and her assistant teacher, Judy Greene, completed baby chick art projects, made “bunny bags” to collect candy, completed a bunny hop and read Easter books and sang songs about spring.
However, the students’ excitement reached a peak during the celebrations when the Easter bunny left treats for both classrooms. Each classroom left for a restroom break and when they returned, they found that their space was packed with candy, treats and Easter eggs.
“There’s so much candy here!” Brant’s student, Carson, exclaimed as he ran around the room and collected the goods.
“The Easter bunny is the best,” he added.
Although the party was great fun for the students, Bucci knew everyone was looking forward to their upcoming spring break.
“We’re definitely looking forward to our week break to celebrate Easter. We know the students will be spending time outside playing, and everyone will have some quality time with their families,” Bucci shared.
