Man indicted for Ohio deputy's death

LEBANON, Ohio (AP) — A man has been indicted on a murder count on charges he struck and killed a southwest Ohio deputy with a vehicle he was driving during a high-speed chase.

A grand jury today also indicted 22-year-old Marcus Anthony Isreal on one count each of involuntary manslaughter, aggravated vehicular homicide, receiving a stolen vehicle and failure to comply. The Warren County prosecutor says the Middletown man also was charged with two counts each of felonious assault and a weapons violation.

Thirty-six-year-old Sgt. Brian Dulle was killed Tuesday as he put out stop sticks. Authorities say Isreal ran from the crash about 35 miles northeast of Cincinnati and was arrested walking along a road.

Isreal remains in jail.
