Inmate found dead in Trumbull jail

Trumbull County sheriff’s deputies are investigating as a possible suicide the death of a 29-year-old man found dead in his cell at the Trumbull County Jail Friday, said Major Thomas Stewart, head of detectives and internal affairs for the Sheriff’s Department.

The body was found around 3:45 p.m. when his meal was delivered.

The man was arrested Wednesday on multiple charges.

His name is being withheld pending notifications of relatives.

An autopsy is to be performed Monday, Stewart said.
