Crime prevention, safety program at JCC

YOUNGSTOWN

ACTION, Alliance for Congregational Transformation Influencing Our Neighborhoods, will sponsor a crime-prevention education and safety program from 6 to 9 p.m. May 20 and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 21 at the Jewish Community Center, 505 Gypsy Lane.

ACTION’s Crime and Safety Committee will present speaker Daniel J. Burns, also known as the “The Crime Guru.” Qualified participants will receive a free Door Stopper.

The Rev. Dr. Lewis Macklin II is president; the Revs. J. Dwayne Heard and Joseph Fata, clergy caucus chairs; and elder Rosetta Carter is lead organizer and executive director.
