City woman ID'ed in fatal crash on South Side

YOUNGSTOWN — The Mahoning County coroner has identified the woman killed in a Wednesday car accident at the intersection of Midlothian Boulevard and Hudson Avenue as 79-year-old Vera Gabrick.

Coroner’s reports say Gabrick was involved in a two-car accident where she sustained blunt force injuries to the abdomen. She was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

Gabrick was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center, where she was pronounced dead.
