At Girard, Meghan Garland’s single scored Emily Reese and McKenzie Garland in the top of the eighth with the go-ahead runs. Meghan Garland had three singles and a double and two RBIs, Elyssa Simko a double and single and two RBIs, Reese had two singles and a double and McKenzie Garland had two hits for Mineral Ridge (8-10), which plays South Range next. Bryanna Jay had a double and two singles and two RBIs and sophomore Kylie Kulon had a triple and single and sophomore MacKenzie Teter had two hits for Girard (10-8).

South Range 10, United 0

At Beaver Twp., Carly DeRose (9-1) pitched a two-hit shutout, striking out 11 and walking one, to lead South Range (23-3). Kristin Robinson had four hits and two RBIs.

Ursuline 4, Newton Falls 3

At Bazetta, Nicholette Maderitz (14-8) was the winning pitcher and hit a two-run homer for the Irish (16-8). Brianna Curd singled twice and scored two runs for Ursuline. Maderitz’s homer in the bottom of the sixth erased a 3-2 deficit. Curd had an RBI single in the first, driving in Macey Gunther, who had walked. Curd came around to score on an error. Baile Shade struck out 12 for Newton Falls.

East Palestine 1, Lisbon 0

At Lisbon, Karly Pence and Desiree Walker had a single apiece for East Palestine (13-6) whose run was scored in the top of the fifth when Emily Duncan walked, was bunted to second before stealing third and scoring on a throwing error. Pence (12-3) threw seven strikeouts and walked two. East Palestine will play Ursuline on Tuesday at Lisbon. Vollnogle and Kayla Hiscox had a single apiece for Lisbon (13-4).

DIVISION IV

Crestview 10, Sebring 2

At Columbiana, Annie Hardenbrook had a home run, two singles and three RBIs, while Adrienne Houston had a home run and single and three RBIs and Jen Hogue had a double and two singles and two RBIs for Crestview (8-11). Senior Corie Sodegren had five strikeouts in a seven-hitter for the Rebels who play at East Canton today in a sectional championship. For Sebring (7-18), Taylor Ward and Ashley Meiter had two hits.

Lordstown 8, McDonald 5

At McDonald, Briana Sinn (11-1) had two hits and struck out 10 to help Lordstown (12-2), which advanced to play at Jackson-Milton today. Sami Heverly, Allyson Hajnosz, Heather Darocha and Daisy Free each added two hits for the Red Devils and Hajnosz had four RBIs. For McDonald (12-4), Rachel Jones had two hits and Emily Magill hit a grand slam.

Southern 7, Leetonia 3

At Leetonia, Chrissy Speedy had three hits and Lisa Higgins added two hits and two RBIs for Southern (8-7). Alexis Tittle had two hits for Leetonia.

East Canton 10, Wellsville 0

At East Canton, Letitia Bittinger homered and scored twice and Courtney Kennedy tripled, scored a run, drove in a run and stole a base for East Canton.

Regular season

Walsh Jesuit 1, Canfield 0

At Canfield, Katarina Davis and Kayla Navratil combined on a three-hitter for Walsh (13-10). Carlee Hart pitched 62⁄3 innings and Sarah Vrabel got the final out as the two combined on a five-hitter for Canfield (7-5). Laura Beck doubled and Cara Cupler had two hits.

Poland 18, Beaver Local 0

At Poland, Kenna Modic (6-1) and Taylor Miokovic combined on a perfect game for the Bulldogs. Modic had eight strikeouts and Miokovic five. Modic went 4-for-4 with a grand slam, a double and six RBIs, while Emily Chandler went 3-for-3, Erin Gabriel had two doubles and two RBIs and Marissa Trevis had a double and single.

Howland 6, Niles 2

At Niles, Haley Marchio had three singles and an RBI to lead Howland (12-4, 2-1 AAC), while Erika Nites had two singles and an RBI, Emily Price had two hits and Tori McCormick doubled and drove in two.

Lakeview 6, Liberty 2

At Liberty, Laura Innocenzi had two hits and two RBIs and Taylor Waid and Kim Lane each added two hits for Lakeview (11-4, 5-1 AAC). Liberty’s Julie Mikulich had 2 hits.

West Branch 1, Northwest 0

At Canal Fulton, Cheyenne Miller pitched a three-hitter with two walks and a strikeout for West Branch (13-7, 6-6 Northeastern Buckeye Conference).
