Parents announce date for Koenig, Mihnovets rite

The engagement of Emily Anne Koenig and Jonathan Alexander Mihnovets, both of Lakewood Ranch, Fla., and plans for their marriage are being announced by their parents.
The bride-to-be is a daughter of Donald E. and Sherrie B. Koenig of Canfield, and the future groom is a son of Stephen and Eva Jo Mihnovets of Hudson, Ohio.
The couple will be married at 6 p.m. May 28 on the beach at the Hilton Longboat Key Beachfront Resort on Longboat Key, Fla. Invitations are being issued for the wedding and for a reception immediately after the ceremony. The marriage will be blessed this fall at St. Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral in Parma, Ohio.
The bride-elect graduated from Miami University of Ohio College of Arts and Sciences with a bachelor’s degree in diplomacy and foreign affairs, and from the University of Tampa College of Social Sciences, Mathematics and Education with a master’s degree in teaching. She is a kindergarten teacher in Lakewood Ranch.
The prospective groom is a graduate of Miami University of Ohio School of Engineering and Applied Sciences with a bachelor’s degree in engineering. He completed his second year of medical school at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and will begin his clinical rotations at hospitals of the Humility of Mary Health Partners, a member of Catholic Health Partners, in Youngstown this summer.
