Bond set at $1M for Ohio man charged in deputy's death

LEBANON, Ohio (AP) — An Ohio judge has set a $1 million bond for a man who authorities say struck and killed a deputy with a vehicle he was driving during a high-speed police chase.

The Warren County court clerk’s office says 22-year-old Marcus Anthony Isreal was arraigned today on charges of involuntary manslaughter and failing to comply with a police officer’s order or signal. The Middletown Journal reports Isreal apologized to the deputy’s family as he left the courtroom in Lebanon in southwest Ohio.

County authorities say 36-year-old Brian Dulle (DOOL’-ee) was killed Tuesday as he put out stop sticks.

Authorities say Isreal ran from the crash about 35 miles northeast of Cincinnati and was later arrested walking along a road.

The prosecutor plans to present evidence to a grand jury Friday.
