WARREN

Sutliff Museum will offer one-day bus tours this summer with the theme “Fine Victorian Houses.” Each trip will include a tour of an outstanding house of that era. The first trip will be Saturday, to the Simon Perkins Stone Mansion in Akron, with a stop afterward in the quaint town of Hudson for lunch and shopping.

The cost of each tour is $45 (does not include lunch). The tour leader will lecture briefly on Victorian architecture and other aspects of the Victorian period during the trip.

Buses will depart at 9 a.m. from the Elm Road Walmart in northeast Warren and will return by 5 p.m. To register, download the registration form from sutliffmuseum.com or call 330-856-6293.

The other scheduled trips are:

June 14, to the 1843 Baldwin Reynolds House in Meadville, Pa., with stops at the Academy Theater then to Cambridge Springs, Pa., for a salad luncheon at the historic Riverside Inn. Tours of the antique-furnished rooms and the gardens will be offered before the bus leaves to go to the Campbell Pottery Store and Gallery on the way back to Warren.

July 13, to the Ward-Thomas House in Niles. First Ladies’ dresses are a featured attraction among rooms full of Victorian furnishings and artifacts. Stops will be made at Avalon Gardens in Youngstown for lunch before continuing to the Arms Family Museum of Local History in Youngstown and the neighboring Holy Trinity Romanian Orthodox Church.
