WEDNESDAY

Boar’s Head Ladies of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will sponsor a chicken dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the church. The menu will feature homemade baked chicken, salad, mashed potatoes and gravy, bread and butter, pie and beverage. Cost is $6.50, and containers will be provided for takeout orders. THURSDAY

American Legion Post 737, 16465 Milton Ave., Lake Milton, will have wing night from 5 to 8 p.m. Wings are six for $2.50.

Calvary United Methodist Church, 12062 South Ave. Ext., North Lima, will have a drive-through homemade chicken dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. (or until sold out). Dinners include stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans and a brownie. The cost is $6. To order dinners call 330-549-2588 or 330-549-5106 for pickup at a time you give or by 5:15 p.m. Drive up to the door, and a volunteer will bring your order to your car.

Col. Louis J. Campbell VFW Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals will include meatballs, salad, bread and butter, and coffee. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $6.50 and will be available only until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.

St. Michael Orthodox Church, 125 Steel St., Youngstown, will serve homemade Chinese lunches from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. This week’s meal will feature chicken lo mein. The cost is $6. No reservations are necessary.

FRIDAY

American Legion F.D.R. Post 560, 103 12th St., Campbell, will serve fish or shrimp dinners from noon to 6 p.m. The cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Meals include macaroni and cheese or french fries, coleslaw or haluski, and bread and butter. Desserts and beverages are available. There will be a 50-50 raffle. Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Orders may be picked up from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $5 a dozen. Orders should be placed from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-746-9528 and are to be picked up between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Friday. Advance sales only. Lunches will be available beginning at 11 a.m. Friday.

Lowellville Rod and Gun Club Inc., 6225 Quarry Road, Lowellville, will have a carryout fish fry featuring ocean perch, fries and coleslaw. Hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The donation is $15. A lunch special is available for $8.

St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, will sell potato and cheese pirogi. To order call 330-799-0084 after 6 p.m. Thursday or from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Cost is $5 per bag of one dozen (no containers necessary). Walk-ins are welcome. Patrons are asked to use the side entrance.

St. Anthony Church, 1125 Turin Ave., Youngstown, will be selling pizza and other Italian treats. Orders may be placed by calling 330-746-9577 from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. and must be picked up by 1 p.m.

St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell potato, prune and kraut pirogi. Cost is $4.50 a dozen. Phone orders may be made beginning at 8 a.m. at 330-755-1316, and orders can be picked up beginning at noon. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers. No walk-in orders will be available.

St. Luke Church, 5235 South Ave., Boardman, will bake Italian-style red and white pizza. Orders will be accepted at 330-788-0025 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. only. Pickup will be until 12:30 p.m. Price is $6 for Brier Hill pizza and $5 for white pizza. This is the last sale of the season. Sales will resume in the fall.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main Street, New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi for $4.50 a dozen. Orders can be called to 330-542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. The final sale of the season will be May 20.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. The cost is $5 a dozen. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 8 to 11 Friday, based upon availability. Walk-in orders will be available. Lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday.

SATURDAY

Austintown Fitch Football Parents Club will sponsor a spaghetti dinner as a fundraiser from 2 to 6 p.m. at Tabernacle Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 2432 S. Raccoon Road, Austintown. Meals are $8, and tickets will be available at the door. Meals include meatballs, salad, bread, dessert, coffee and other beverages. Carryouts will be available. There will be a basket auction and sale of Fitch clothing.

Bessemer Presbyterian Church, 29 N. Main St., Bessemer, Pa., will serve ham loaf dinners from 5 to 7 p. m. Meals are $8 for adults, $4 for children 6 to 12 and free for those 5 and under. Braceville United Methodist Church, 577 Park Road SW, will have a spaghetti dinner from 3 to 7 p.m. A donation will be accepted. Meals include salad, bread beverage and dessert.

Coitsville Presbyterian Church, 91 Coitsville-Hubbard Road, will have a pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Meals are $6 for adults, $3 for children 6 to 18 and free for those 5 and under.

Cortland United Methodist Church, 155 N. High St., will have its 12th annual Kentucky Mountain dinner from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The cost is $8.50 for adults, $5.50 for children 3 to 12, and free for those 2 and under. Meals include sweet potato casserole, ham, cornbread, creamed chicken on homemade biscuits, green beans, bean soup, cobbler or derby pie, and beverage.

Knights of Columbus, Council 3930, will sponsor a spaghetti dinner from 2 to 7 p.m. to benefit a family whose house was badly damaged by fire. Meals include meatballs, tossed salad, bread, dessert and beverage. The cost is $6.50 for adults, $3.50 for children and free for those under 6. There will be a 50-50 raffle and a basket auction.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 381 Robbins Ave., Niles, will have a twist sale from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday and 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday in Marian Hall. The cost is $2 each.

VFW Post 5532 Back Hall, 575 S. County Line Road, Washingtonville, will have a steak fry from 5 to 8:30 p.m. The cost is $13.50. Good Hope Lutheran Church, 12030 Market St., North Lima, will have a spaghetti dinner from noon to 4 p.m. to support Nathan Edwards, an exchange student going to Germany. ITAM Post 3, 113 S. Meridian Road, Youngstown, will serve spaghetti dinners from noon to 5 p.m. The cost is $6.50 for adults and $3.75 for children. Wedding soup will be sold for $5.50 a quart.

King Solomon Lodge 87, will sponsor a family barbecue from noon to 5 p.m. at Packard Park Shelter House, Mahoning Avenue NW, Warren. The donation is $10 for a ribs and chicken dinner with three sides (cabbage, mean greens, coleslaw, black-eyed peas and rice, potato salad, or macaroni and cheese), bread, cornbread and cake. Also available will be a full slab of ribs, $18, and a half slab or rib sandwich, $9 each.

VFW Post 3767, 710 W. Liberty St., Hubbard, will have a spaghetti dinner from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. as a benefit for disabled American veterans. Tickets are $6.50 for adults and $3 for children 10 and under. There will be a 50-50 raffle and basket auction.

VFW Triangle Post 2799 Ladies Auxiliary 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will serve breakfasts of eggs, sausage or ham, hash browns, pancakes, freedom toast, toast, and coffee or tea from 8 a.m. to noon. Meals are $5 for adults and $3 for children under 12.
