Staff report
AKRON
Because the “M.C. Escher: Impossible Realities” exhibition has drawn record crowds to the Akron Art Museum, its closing date has been pushed back to June 5.
The exhibit, on loan from an Athens, Greece, museum, includes the masterworks of Maurits Cornelis Escher. It surveys the breadth of his career from the 1920s to the 1960s and includes 130 of the artist’s finest works.
Featured are seminal and instantly recognizable works such as “Drawing Hands” and “Reptiles,” as well as the rare lithographic stone for the making of “Flatworms.”
