SOCIETY DIGEST | Students design fashions for show

CLEVELAND

Marcia LeGoullon of Youngstown, a student at Virginia Marti College of Art and Design, is one of the 14 finalists who will be competing with students from Ursuline College in the first annual Form to Fashion event from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Beachwood Place Mall

The event challenges students to construct their own fashion collection on the theme “Be What’s Next.” They are encouraged to create garments using up-and-coming design techniques to showcase the fashion world’s next fashion trend.

Shoppers will have an opportunity to vote for a favorite outfit created by a young designer and modeled during the runway-style fashion show. Votes can be cast at the Guest Services in the mall or online at www.formtofashion.com. The designer with the winning garment will receive a $500 gift card to the mall.
