Historical society sets dinner, symposium
MERCER, PA.
Mercer County Historical Society, 119 S. Pitt St., is having a dinner and program May 19 at the society library.
A social at 5:30 will be followed by dinner at 6 in the social room of the Helen Black Miller Memorial.
Members will vote for a board of directors and elect officers, and the Volunteer of the Year will be named.
The program will be a symposium on “The Wilson Murders: Mercer County’s Most Famous Unsolved Murders.”
Tickets are $12 and are available at the society office or by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope to the society.
For $20, a ticket to the dinner, a copy of “Murder at the Wilson Farm” by John E. Moser and a copy of “Hail Temple Built to Justice: A History of Mercer County’s Courthouse” are available.
