CANFIELD

Canfield Historical Society’s spring lecture series concludes at 7:30 p.m. Thursday with a free lecture by Hugh Earnhart in the historic Bond House, 44 W. Main St., across from the Canfield Library. A retired chairman of the Youngstown State University history department and assistant dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, Earnhart taught at YSU from 1963 to 1997. His lecture will focus on the battles and military history of the Civil War, the Old South and the New South. Call 330-533-3458.
