Austintown Senior Center, 100 Westchester Drive, has planned the following: Monday, painting and drawing class ($5 fee and take your own materials) at 9:30 a.m., bingo at 10, and lunch at 11:30 followed by Wellness Monday with hearing, vision, medication and blood pressure checks and diet and exercise information; Tuesday, day trip to Heinz History Museum in Pittsburgh (sign up at center) at 9 a.m., zumba class at 10:30, lunch at 11:30, bingo at noon and golf league at Mill Creek Par 3 at 2 p.m. for those who signed up at the center; Wednesday, bingo at 10 a.m., lunch at 11:30 and tai chi at noon; Thursday, yoga at 9:30 a.m., senior shapeup at 10:30, lunch with Atty. Rusu speaking on Elder Law at 11:30 and bingo at noon; Friday, Wii bowling tournament at 9:30 a.m., lunch at 11:30 and bingo at noon. The center is open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday. Senior Independence Senior Center of Mahoning County, 1110 Fifth Ave., Youngstown, has planned the following: Monday, Men’s and Women’s Needlecraft Club at 8:30 a.m. and bridge at 1 p.m.; Tuesday, oil painting at 10 a.m., computer class at 10 and noon, bridge for beginners at 10:30, exercises at noon and Digital Club at 2 p.m.; Wednesday, watercolor class at 10 a.m., tap class at noon and 500 cards at 1 p.m.; and Thursday, Watch Our Weight and Woodcarvers clubs at 9 a.m., Diabetic Workshop at 10, exercises at noon, line dancing at 1 p.m. and beginner line dancing at 2; and Friday, cards at 11 a.m. Special events include: the final OSU nutrition class at 11 a.m. Monday, and the OSU garden party will be May 16. Shenango Valley Performing Arts Council and Buhl Park will sponsor a Senior Prom for anyone 60 and older from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. May 22 at Buhl Timblin Casino 715 Hazen Road, Hermitage. Pa. Tickets are $7 in advance and include food and beverage. They are available at the casino, at Shenango Valley Senior Center, 220 N.
