Living in Struthers after their Oct. 2 wedding at Bridge of Hope Church are Bridget Gates, daughter of Gary and Donna Gates, and William Bowes Jr., son of William and Marianne Bowes. All reside in Struthers.

The Rev. Joy Chickonoski officiated for the 1:30 p.m. ceremony, and the couple received well-wishers at the Palermo Center at St. Lucy Church in Campbell.

The bride wore a candlelight ivory trumpet-style gown fashioned with a sweetheart neckline, adorned with beaded lace and a shirred-tulle bodice and featuring a sweep train.

Serving as maid of honor for her sister was Helene Gates. Other attendants were bridesmaids Sarah Livesay and Jenna DiCicco, cousins of the bride; Emily Berry; Allison Ginnetti; Samantha Headley; Jamie Rivello; and Stephanie Urban. Attendants wore chocolate brown gowns. Wearing peach-colored dresses were Anna Belle Bowes, niece of the groom; Zoe Livesay, cousin of the bride; and Payton Loomis, who participated as flower girls.

Best man for his brother was David Bowes, and serving as groomsmen were Mark Beverly, Mike Firmstone, Mike Galletta, Dan Monico, Vito Palumbo, Anthony Rosati and Brian Walton.

The newlyweds honeymooned in Sanibel Island, Fla.

The bride graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in education. She is employed by the Mahoning County Educational Service Center as an intervention specialist K-12 at Lynn Kirk Elementary School in Austintown.

The groom graduated from ETI Technical College, completing a degree in HVAC service. He is employed by York Mahoning Mechanical Contractor as a sheet metal worker in Youngstown.
