CANFIELD

Both the Cardinals and the Irish were able to get nine hits, but the visitors weren’t able to capitalize and turn those into runs. Brianna Curd scored the lone run for Ursuline and had three hits. Kayley Keller had three hits and brought home a runner, and Laura Beck had two RBIs and a double for the winners.

Mooney 13, Warren JFK 3

BOARDMAN

Junior Katrina Larson had three hits, including a homer that cleared the concession stand at Fields of Dreams, and three RBIs to lead Mooney (13-8). Junior Marissa Gorvet singled, doubled and tripled and drove in three and Shannon Saadey doubled twice. Chanel Thornton and Alexis Drummond doubled for Kennedy (4-7).

Hubbard 10, Jackson-Milton 3

HUBBARD

Keri Durina had five hits, including a homer, scored twice and drove in three runs to lead Hubbard (8-4). Devan Zelonish had two three hits, including a homer, and Amy Thomas had a double and a triple. Zaina Shali homered for the Bluejays (12-5).

East Palestine 0

BEAVER TWP.

Carly DeRose (7-1) struck out 12 batter and walked one in seven innings for the win. Kristin Robinson had a triple while teammates Darrian Yanek and Madison Yanek had a pair of singles for the winners. Logan Gatchel had a triple for East Palestine.

Sebring 8, Southern 7

SEBRING

It took eight innings, but the home team was able to squeak out the win on a game-winning hit by Ashley Meiter. Meiter had a double and a pair of RBIs, and Taylor Ward, who earned the win, also had three RBIs. Rachel Coil had a double and a triple for the visitors.

Marlington 11, West Branch 2

ALLIANCE

Brittany Tomello homered, doubled and singled to lead Marlington (10-7, 7-3 NBC). Six players singled for West Branch (11-7, 5-6).
