Police seeking boy in armed robbery of Girard women
GIRARD
Police are looking for a juvenile male who robbed two women at gunpoint about 10 p.m. Wednesday in the 200 block of East Liberty Street.
The victim, who lost her purse with identification and $1,420 in cash, told police the juvenile had come to her door earlier and was looking for “Tim.” She told him no one by that name lived there.
Later, when the victim and a neighbor were in a car on the street preparing to leave, the juvenile confronted them with a handgun and took the victim’s purse.
The juvenile fled, and a neighbor, who heard yelling, chased him. The juvenile fired a shot; the neighbor was unhurt.
Another resident on the street reported a similar incident of the juvenile coming to the door that day, but that neighbor was not robbed.
