MCCTC summer camp lets teens explore careers

The Mahoning County Career and Technical Center, 7300 N. Palmyra Road, will give students the chance to explore new careers this summer with its annual summer camp.

Whether students want to test out the culinary field, learn more about aviation or explore cosmetology, this year’s camp offers students a hands-on experience. Programs offered this year are aviation, chemistry, cosmetology, culinary arts and information technology.

Summer camp will be from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. June 20-24 and is open to students preparing to enter grades seven through nine. Snacks are provided daily, and there will be a special luncheon at the end of the week. Registration fees are $80 if registered by May 15 and $90 for those registering after.

Applications are available from middle-school guidance counselors or online at mahoningctc.com.
