Austintown Local Schools will accept kindergarten registration through June 24. Bring paperwork to the registration office in Austintown Middle School from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

St. Patrick School is accepting kindergarten registration for the 2011-12 school year.

Students entering kindergarten must be 5 years old on or before Sept. 30. Students with birth dates after Sept. 30 will be evaluated on an individual basis based on the screening process.

Kindergarten screening will be May 17 starting at 8:30 a.m. Screenings are by appointment and the student must be registered before screening. To register, bring a copy of the child’s updated immunization records, Social Security number (copy), birth certificate (copy), baptismal certificate (if applicable) and a copy of legal custody papers (if applicable). Also, if your child received services that were described as an individual educational plan such as an IEP or service plan, bring a copy of the most recent IEP and review. Call the school at 330-534-2509 to receive a registration packet or for more information.

Liberty Local Schools final kindergarten registration for the 2011-12 school year will be May 16-19.

Students must be 5 years old by Sept. 30. Those registering should come to the E.J. Blott School between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. to pick up a registration packet and schedule an appointment for registration. Call the school at 330-759-1053 with questions.

Make-up days for Roosevelt Elementary School kindergarten registration for the 2011-12 school year will be Tuesday and Wednesday at the school.

Parents/guardians will come to Roosevelt with their child between 8:30 and 11 a.m. or between noon and 3 p.m. Tuesday or Wednesday.

Upon arrival, parents will complete a registration packet while the children attend a brief screening. Those registering children must bring the required documents. The school will not make copies.

Required documents are the child’s birth certificate (must be 5 years old before Sept. 30), immunization record, proof of residency, which includes one of the following: mortgage/bank payment book with name and address, lease with resident’s name and address, rent receipt with landlord’s name and phone number and resident’s name and address, three of the most current utility bills (gas, phone, electric) with resident’s name and address or current municipal tax statement; custody or guardianship records (if applicable) and photo identification of parent/guardian.

McDonald Roosevelt Elementary will have an evening kindergarten registration Wednesday.

Parents of district students should come to the Roosevelt office between 5 and 7 p.m. with the child’s birth certificate, Social Security card, shot record, proof of residency and custody papers, if applicable.

Any student entering kindergarten in fall 2011, must be 5 years old by Aug. 1. Children don’t need to be present at the time of registration.
