Bailey Shade (4-7) tossed her second no-hitter of the season, striking out 19 and walking none in the nine-inning contest. Abbie Harrah had two hits and scored the only run on a sacrifice fly by Taylor Martin. Kayla Powell (3-6) took the loss for the Eagles (3-6).

Haley Thirion had five strikeouts during a seven-hitter. Samantha Dudley and Keri Durina had three singles apiece for the Eagles (7-4, 3-3 All-American Conference White).

STRUTHERS

Ashley Hefferon had her first home run of the season — a two-run blast in the third inning. Hefferon also had a single, scored twice and finished with four RBIs for the Wildcats (9-12, 4-2 AAC White). Alyssa Nicholas had two singles for Lakeview (9-1, 4-1).

Angell Hohvart had a five-inning, three-hitter that included 11 strikeouts and one walk. Kayla Hunt knocked in four runs while Taylor Petersal and Alison Sorber had three RBIs apiece for Champion (15-0, 6-0 ACC Blue).

Brooke Meenachan had four hits and Alex DiDomenico had a double and three RBIs for Boardman. Danielle Petrus tripled for the Spartans (10-6, 4-2 Federal League). Carly Ortz hit two doubles and three RBIs while Megan Carney doubled for the Falcons (5-6, 1-5).

McKenzie Stimpert had four hits and scored three runs for the Irish (12-7). Brianna Curd’s three hits included a double and drove in two runs. Kelli Kolenich had two hits to drive in three runs, For the Eagles (6-7), Taylor Smith, Cassidy Yoder and Kelsey Baker doubled.

BOARDMAN

Winning pitcher Jamie Clausen (9-5) homered and doubled to drive in three runs for the Cardinals (12-8). She struck out 13 batters in tossing a one-hitter. Katrina Larson, Shannon Saadey and Brie Ozenghar doubled with Saadey also driving in three runs.
