WARREN
A 19-year-old Howland woman who was burned in a fire she later was charged with setting on purpose pleaded innocent to aggravated arson Wednesday in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court.
Kaitlyn A. Mullins, of Orchard Avenue Southeast, entered the plea before Judge W. Wyatt McKay. Her face gave evidence of the burns she received in the fire, which left her in Akron Children’s Hospital Burn Unit for two months.
Mullins is accused of starting a fire at 2711 Orchard Avenue SE, just down the street from her home, Aug. 28, 2010.
The $53,000 fire destroyed the home.
A friend took Mullins from the fire to Trumbull Memorial Hospital before firefighters arrived at the scene.
