Ohio man sentenced in death of robbery accomplice

AKRON, Ohio (AP) — An Ohio man whose robbery accomplice was shot and killed by their victim has been sentenced to 17 years to life in prison.

Twenty-five-year-old Larry Adams of Akron was sentenced today on his conviction for murder, aggravated robbery, burglary, evidence tampering and a weapons charge.

Prosecutor Sherri Bevan Walsh says Adams and his accomplice bought marijuana from a man last November and returned to rob him. The victim shot both men and 21-year-old Delwin Isaac died of his wounds.

Under Ohio law, a person can be held responsible for a death if it occurs while committing or helping commit a violent felony.
