Springfield 4, South Range 3

NORTH LIMA

Ron Bovo hit a pair of doubles and drove in three runs, and Nick Russell pitched a complete game as Springfield won the outright Inter Tri-County League Tier One championship. Russell struck out eight and scattered seven hits for the Tigers (12-6, 12-1). Cody Pitzo added a double and single, and Joe Ohlin singled twice and scored two runs. South Range (8-8, 4-5) was led by Andy Lacefield with three hits, including a double. Gerrad Rohan hit two doubles and Zack Thorpe singled twice. Mike Thorpe struck out five in a complete game for the Raiders.

Boardman 8, Canton McKinley 3

STRUTHERS

Junior Troy Parks had a six-hitter with seven strikeouts and three walks for Boardman (11-4, Federal 5-3). Mark Leone went 4-for-4 with an RBI and the senior scored a run, while senior Mark Calautti’s two-RBI single in the fifth started a six-run sixth for the Spartans. Calautti finished with two singles. McKinley is 5-10, 1-5.

Struthers 4, Liberty 0

STRUTHERS

Winning pitcher Joe Diloreto tossed a five-hit shutout with 11 strikeouts and no walks for the Wildcats (10-7, 5-2 AAC White Tier). Diloreto, Dom Lariccia and Anthony Repp doubled for Struthers. Liberty is 7-5, 3-2.

Hubbard 9, Salem 8

HUBBARD

Junior Ryan Smith had a four-hitter with seven strikeouts and four walks over six innings while senior Mike Lopuchovsky had a two-run single in the sixth. Lopuchovsky also had two other singles and four RBIs for the Eagles (3-9, 1-5 AAC White Tier), who combined for six runs in the fifth and sixth innings. Tyler Duez had three hits including a double and Duez, a senior, scored three times. Jarrod Seech allowed one run in one full inning of relief in the seventh for Hubbard. Saltsman had two doubles and four RBIs for the Quakers (4-11, 2-2 AAC White Tier).

Niles 4, Howland 3

NILES

Joe Livi knocked in three runs, including two in the bottom of the seventh to end the game. Livi finished with three RBIs, while Tyler Wiery and Austin Lykins had two hits apiece for the Red Dragons. For Howland, Dominic Termine and Cody Kirek had two hits apiece.

Newton Falls 7, LaBrae 0

NEWTON FALLS

Tyler Kernen had a one-hitter with 15 strikeouts over seven innings and the senior had an inside-the-park home run for three RBIs in the fourth. Senior Colt Capan had a solo homer in the sixth and junior Cody Pelyak doubled for Newton Falls (8-6, 4-2 AAC Blue). Bobby Dragash had a fifth-inning single for LaBrae.

E. Palestine 6, E. Liverpool 1

EAST LIVERPOOL

Senior Jake Kohler had 14 strikeouts during a seven-inning, two-hitter that included just one walk. Kohler was 2-for-4 with an RBI, while senior Luke Gorby also had two singles and an RBI for the Bulldogs (4-7). Brian Beverly had the Potters’ lone run via a homer to deep center in the fourth inning.

Crestview 10, United 5

HANOVERTON

Winning pitcher Matt May, Brian Orr, Logan Schaefer and Brandon Brooks all doubled for the Rebels (10-5, 6-3 ITCL Tier One). Orr and Adam Coppock each had four hits and scored three runs. For the Eagles, Ryan Powell homered and Brett Albright doubled.

W. Reserve 20, Wellsville 0

BERLIN CENTER

Tommy Marlowe and Bruce Hostetter homered for the Blue Devils while John Gora tripled. Tomas Benyo and Danny Rosati doubled as four pitchers combined to toss a five-inning one-hitter.

Josh Kramer’s two hits included a double for the Bluejays (3-10, 0-9 ITCL Tier Two).

NILES

Alec Rossi tripled while Vince Infante had two hits for the Eagles (13-1) at Eastwood Field. Bryce Bronson had two hits for the Warriors (3-7).

West Branch 3, Canton South 0

CANTON

Freshman Jeff Vizzuso (3-1) threw a complete-game, three-hit shutout for the Warriors (10-11, 4-7 NBC). Sophomore Beau Taylor had all three RBIs for the winners.

Poland 9, Canfield 5

POLAND

Colin Reardon had a home run, triple and single and knocked in two runs, while Dave Bobby had a pair of doubles and four RBIs for the Bulldogs. Conner Schultheis had two singles and an RBI. Ben Angelo had two hits, including a triple, and Cheslik had two singles for Canfield.

Boardman 9, St. Thomas 1

STRUTHERS

David DiBernardi had a double and single, and scored twice for Boardman (10-4), Phil DiIanni added two hits, including a triple, while Derek DePasquale doubled twice with two RBIs, and Dan Popio tripled.
