Clerk at textbook buyback stand robbed

INDIANA, Pa. (AP) — Police in a western Pennsylvania college town are looking for a man who pepper sprayed a woman who works at a college textbook buyback stand, then took two books and some money from her.

Police in Indiana, Pa. say they’re still looking for the suspect in Tuesday’ robbery at a stand operated by Penn Text Co. near a parking garage owned by Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

The woman says she had just bought two books from the man and had turned around to get his money when he sprayed her in the face, then grabbed a hand-held case in which she was carrying money. Police aren’t saying how much money was stolen. Police say the clerk wasn’t harmed beyond being pepper sprayed.

Police searched the immediate area after a passerby called 911, but were unable to find the robber.
