YouthBuild summit

A summit of YouthBuild programs in Columbiana, Mahoning and Trumbull Counties is Friday from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Boys and Girls Club, 2105 Oak Hill Ave. YouthBuild is a nonprofit organization that offers education, counseling and job skills to unemployed young adults between 18 and 24. CPR training offered

The St. Elizabeth Health Center Breast Care Advisory Board will present its 11th annual Women’s Health Night from 4:30 to 7 p.m. May 18 at the St. Elizabeth Breast Care Center, 1044 Belmont Ave. The event offers free screening mammograms for women 40 to 64 who are uninsured or underinsured and who do not have a history of breast cancer; and free breast exams, health history assessment and blood-pressure screening. Super Colon events

Humility of Mary Health Partners Cancer Centers is offering two Super Colon events from 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 12 during Woman’s Heart Day at Covelli Center; and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 13, inside the Eastwood Mall in Niles, to raise awareness of the importance of yearly colon-cancer screenings for men and women beginning at age 50.

The Super Colon is an 8-foot-tall, 20-foot-long inflatable replica of a colon that visitors can walk through to learn about colo-rectal cancer and how to prevent the disease.

NOAS offers classes

Northeast Ohio Adoption Services, (NOAS) is offering area singles or couples who are considering becoming adoptive or foster parents pre-placement education classes beginning at 6 p.m. May 13 and continuing that same weekend and the weekend of June 4 and 5.
