YOUNGSTOWN

Rust Belt Theater Company will present “An Evening With Starrlet O’Hara and Friends” at 8 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Calvin Center, 755 Mahoning Ave.

The fundraiser will be hosted by drag queen Starrlet O’Hara, who is the main character in annual local productions of “How The Drag Queen Stole Christmas” and “The Rocky Horror Show.” It will feature some of Youngstown’s favorite stage personalities dressed up in ridiculous costumes and lampooning popular culture and music.

For reservations, call or text 330-507-2358. Tickets are $15 ($10 for students and seniors). Parking is free.

Rust Belt Theater Company will give away tickets at each show to its Duranged Summer Series. It also will sell its new line of repurposed, recycled jewelry. The Mother’s Day performance Sunday will feature discounted tickets and gifts for moms who attend.

This is the seventh annual Fundraising is a Drag production. In the past, the organization has raised funds for Angels for Animals, Toys for Tots, Violet’s Cupboard, MDA, The Ursuline Mother House and The Oakland Center for the Arts, as well as the LGBT groups at Youngstown State University, Kent State University, Penn State University and John Carroll University.

Proceeds from this year’s show will benefit the Rust Belt Theater Company’s Studio for Young Actors, which provides performance opportunities for students age 12 to 24 in the greater Youngstown area.
