Conneaut Lake Park in running for grant

CONNEAUT LAKE, PA.

Conneaut Lake Park is in the Pepsi Refresh Everything online contest for a $50,000 grant this month. Voting is done online at www.refresheverything.com/conneautlakeparkartisanmall or by texting 106426 to Pepsi (73774).

The top 10 finishers win $50,000 apiece. Conneaut would use the money for its Artisan Mall project, which already is well under way in the Midway area. The buildings are being refurbished to host artists who will demonstrate their work. The project is in cooperation with the PA Route 6 Artisan Trail. In addition to online voting, consumers can obtain Power Vote Codes on Pepsi, Diet Pepsi and Pepsi Max products. These codes, once entered on the voting website, will carry the value of 10 to 100 votes, which must be redeemed the same day the code is entered. Up to 10 codes can be redeemed each day.

Free comic books at shops Saturday

All American Comics in Warren and Boardman and Bennie’s Comic Books and Cards in Sharon, Pa., will participate in Free Comic Book Day from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday. More than 2.7 million comic books will be given away by participating stores worldwide on that day.
