Individual, team camps offered for football, hoops

YOUNGSTOWN

This summer, YSU football coach Eric Wolford and his staff will offer three specialty camps, five one-day, all-position camps and one youth camp — all at Stambaugh Stadium.

The specialty camps are for students entering grades 9-12.

The offensive line/defensive line skills day runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 4. Cost is $35.

The quarterback/wide receiver/tight end skills camp runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on June 13. Cost is $50.

The Paul McFadden/Jeff Wilkins kicking camp runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 20. Cost is $45.

The one-day, all-position camps will be held daily from June 6-10 and run from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. each night. Cost is $30 per session.

The youth football camp is for kids ages 8-13 and will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 11. Cost is $40. Registration deadline is June 10 and no walk-ups will be accepted.

On July 21-22, the Penguins’ staff will hold a two-day 7-on-7 passing camp at the WATTS and Stambaugh Stadium. Cost is $175 per team or $300 for two teams from the same school.

Basketball camps

YSU will hold four boys basketball camps this summer.

There will be two individual camps. There will be a full-court camp from June 13-16 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for kids entering grades 5-12. Cost is $130 before June 6 and $145 afterward.

The half-court camp is for kids entering grades 2-9 and runs from 8:30 a.m. to noon on June 20-23. Cost is $85 before June 13 and $95 afterward.

There will be two shootout camps for varsity and junior varsity teams on June 5 and June 11. Cost is $275 per varsity team and $210 per junior varsity team.

There is also a two-day option which costs $475 for varsity and $350 for junior varsity.
