BOOK SALES
Friends of the Community Library of Shenango Valley will have a spring book sale from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. May 11, 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. May 12, and 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. May 13 and 14 at the library, 11 N. Sharpsville Ave., Sharon, Pa. All proceeds will be donated to the library.
Friends of Cortland Library will have a book sale from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 13 and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 14 at Cortland Christian Church, 153 Grove St. Proceeds will support programs and services of the Cortland Branch of Warren-Trumbull County Public Library, 212 N. High St.
CARD, BINGO PARTIES
Liberty Presbyterian Church, 1451 Church Hill-Hubbard Road, will have a basket bingo at 1 p.m. May 15 in the church fellowship hall. A $5 donation will include three bingo cards and light refreshments.
St. Mark’s Orthodox Church, 3560 Logan Way, Youngstown, will be the site of a card party at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, sponsored by the Ladies Altar Society. An entrance fee of $5, collected at the door, includes lunch and a beverage. There also will be a basket auction and ethnic pastry sale. CRAFT SHOWS
Vendors are needed for the 24th Annual Arts & Crafts in the Park, to take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 25 at Centennial Park, East Pershing Street, Salem. Setup is at 7 a.m., rain or shine. A 20-by-20-foot space costs $25. Take your own tables and chairs, or they will be supplied for $35. Tents will be allowed, but no electricity is available. DANCES
A Season For Change, a nonprofit organization associated with New Leaf Residential Services, is planning a spring dance from 6 to 8 p.m. May 14 at Old North Church, 7105 Herbert Road, Canfield. Admission of $5 includes pizza, chips and a beverage.

Boardman United Methodist Church, 6809 Market St., will have its spring trash and treasure sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, which is bargain-bag day.
Church Hill United Methodist Church, 189 Church Hill-Hubbard Road, Liberty, will sponsor a gently used sale from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Lunch and a bake sale will be available both days.
CWF will host a spring-cleaning sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 20 and 21 at Canfield Christian Church, 123 N. Broad St. All unsold items will be donated to local charities. Concessions will be available.
First United Methodist Church of Hubbard, 48 Church St., will have a rummage and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in Wesley Hall. Featured will be household items, furniture, gently worn clothing, toys, books, tools and small working appliances.
First United Methodist Church, 237 W. Silver St., Sharon, Pa., will have a rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 13. Walking tacos can be purchased for lunch, and there will be a bake sale. Saturday will be a dollar-a-bag-sale from 9 a.m. to noon.
Good Hope Cancer Relay Team for the Boardman Relay for Life will have a garage sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 56 Leighton Ave., Boardman. There will be a variety of items including new prints, a rocking chair and kitchen items.
Heritage Presbyterian Church, 1951 Mathews Road, Youngstown, will have a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. to noon Friday. All items for the sale, which includes clothing, books, housewares, jewelry and games, are in good condition.
Mount Olivet United Church of Christ, 410 W. South Range Road, North Lima, is planning its annual spring rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, which is half-price day, and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, which is $1-a-bag day. A bake sale will take place on Thursday, and lunch will be served Thursday and Friday.
Oak Missionary Baptist Church, 320 Elk St., Youngstown, will be having a rummage sale, fish fry, chicken dinner sale and a bake sale beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday. All dinners include two pieces, two sides and bread. Chicken is available baked, fried or barbecued, and costs $7 per dinner. Fish, fried or barbecued, is $9, and sides are green beans, baked beans, potato salad and macaroni salad. Extra sides can be added for 50 cents each.
