Youths interested in state and local camps can apply

CORTLAND

The Trumbull Soil and Water Conservation District is looking for youth interested in attending two statewide camps for free and a local camp for $25.

The Ohio Forestry and Wildlife Conservation Camp is a one-week summer resident camp for high school students who are at least 15 and have completed eighth grade. This year’s camp is June 13-18 at FFA Camp Muskingum on Leesville Lake, Carroll County.

The Ohio Junior Conservation Camp is a one-week resident camp for students 8 to 14 and runs June 8-11 at Camp Palmer in Fayette, northwest Ohio. eadline to apply for both camps is May 15.

The SWCD Watershed Field School for students 9 to 12 will be June 21-22 at the Trumbull County Agriculture and Family Education Center, 520 W. Main St . Cost is $25. Deadline is June 3. For more information or to register, call 330-637-2046 ext. 110.
