Search suspended for missing fisherman
NEW CASTLE, Pa.
Rescue workers stopped searching for the evening Saturday for a man who’s missing after falling into Slippery Rock Creek at McConnell’s Mill State Park.
State police reported that John Latulippe, 38, of Glenshaw, Pa., was fishing when he fell into the creek around 9 a.m. near the McConnell’s Mill Bridge. He was last seen in the water near the bridge.
Ground-breaking is Monday in Salem

Salem Chrysler-Jeep-Dodge will celebrate a ground-breaking for its new dealership.
The new dealership is near the old one at 1965 Ellsworth Ave.
The ground-breaking is set for 11 a.m. Monday.
Youth camps
CORTLAND
The Trumbull Soil and Water Conservation District is looking for youth interested in attending two statewide camps for free and a local camp for $25.
The Ohio Forestry and Wildlife Conservation Camp is a one-week summer resident camp for high school students who are at least 15 and have completed eighth grade. This year’s camp is June 13-18 at FFA Camp Muskingum on Leesville Lake, Carroll County.
The Ohio Junior Conservation Camp is a one-week resident camp for students 8 to 14 and runs June 8-11 at Camp Palmer in Fayette, northwest Ohio. eadline to apply for both camps is May 15.
The SWCD Watershed Field School for students 9 to 12 will be June 21-22 at the Trumbull County Agriculture and Family Education Center, 520 W. Main St . Cost is $25. Deadline is June 3. For more information or to register, call 330-637-2046 ext. 110.
Youth grant
Girard Homecoming Committee is seeking applications from city organizations sponsoring programs for youth. The committee will fund selected programs.
The organization must focus on broad-based activities for Girard youth, provide evidence of past successful events for the target population and complete the application and interview process.

Improvement funds
WARREN
The Trumbull 100 is offering minigrants to further neighborhood revitalization. The minigrants program is established to provide bona fide neighborhood groups and associations in Trumbull County a source of funding (up to $500 annually) to revitalize community neighborhoods.
Community groups are eligible if at least one of the following apply: 1) is incorporated under Ohio law 2) has elected officers 3) has bylaws 4) conducts meetings open to the public 5) granted or pending 501(c)3 status.
Minigrant funding is restricted to purchase goods or services for projects that will bring about neighborhood improvements. For an application, contact Trumbull 100, P.O. Box 1908, Warren 44482.
Siren test Thursday
Hermitage, Pa.
Hermitage Fire Department will conduct its monthly test of the area’s weather warning sirens at 10 a.m. Thursday. The test will include activation of the Clark, Farrell, Sharpsville, West Middlesex, and Wheatland weather sirens. Citizens are asked to disregard the alerting sirens during the test.
Mission donations

Customers at Borders Books and Music store near Eastwood Mall recently donated 27.5 pounds of Seattle’s Best Coffee to Warren Family Mission during a two-week fundraiser, said Ron Biehl, director of development at the Family Mission.
The Cortland Moose Lodge 1012 in Cortland also recently gave the mission $500 for Easter.
