II team, DeSales (15-1). Adriana Sikora went 3-for-3 with a double and scored twice. In the slugfest, DeSales out-hit the Bulldogs, 12-11.

Poland trailed 6-0, entering the bottom of the fourth when the Bulldogs sent 13 batters to the plate to produce eight runs against the No. 2 ranked Div. I team in the state, Elyria (9-4). After Poland scored its first run of the inning, Meredith Testa started a seven-run rally with a two-out single to right center.

Hayley Marchio had a seven-strikeout, two-hitter while Tori McCormick had a double and single and four RBIs for Howland. Marchio walked one. Of Ursuline’s 12 hits, Anny Carrol had three singles, while Maderitz had a triple, double and three RBIs. Also for the Irish, Marina Bermann and Erin Vukovich had two hits and two RBIs apiece.
