MAHONING COUNTY

Celtic Healthcare offers hot, nutritious meals weekdays at eight locations in Mahoning County for people 60 or older and their spouses, regardless of age. Reservations are required three days in advance. Transportation is available for those 60 or older; call 330-884-2511 to set up. A $2 donation is suggested per meal. Home-delivered meals are also available for seniors homebound due to illness, injury or handicap.

Wednesday, May 4: Pulled pork on a bun, greens, sweet potatoes, pears, orange gelatin, apple, and milk.

Thursday, May 5: Chicken patty, baked potatoes with sour cream and margarine, broccoli, bananas, bread, chocolate cupcakes, and milk.

Friday, May 6: Beef burger on a bun, green beans, applesauce, red potatoes, grape juice, and milk.

Saturday, May 7: Ham on a bun, tossed salad, carrot raisin salad, apple, cherry tomato, cookie, and milk.

Monday, May 9: Ravioli with sauce, peas and carrots, yellow beans, pears, Italian bread, orange gelatin, and milk.

Tuesday, May 10: Chicken drumstick, mixed veggies, mashed potatoes, pineapple, bread, chocolate cupcake, and milk.

TRUMBULL COUNTY

The Trumbull County Office of Elderly Affairs offers older people a well-balanced meal and an opportunity to share fellowship weekdays at 12 locations in Trumbull County. Reservations must be made two working days in advance. Any person 60 or older or whose spouse is 60 or over is eligible to attend. There is no income requirement. The suggested donation is $1.50 per meal.

Wednesday, May 4: Mild rope sausage on a bun with peppers and onions, french green beans, potato spudster, cherry gelatin with fruit or sugar-free gelatin with fruit, and milk.

Thursday, May 5: Chicken Parmesan with penne pasta, sauce and provolone, cauliflower, wheat bread with margarine, apple, grape juice, and milk.

Friday, May 6: Barbecue riblet on a Diamond Jim bun, scalloped potatoes, broccoli, coleslaw, and milk.

Monday, May 9: Chicken quarter, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, rye bread with margarine, diced peaches, and milk.

Tuesday, May 10: Swedish meatballs with noodles and sauce, applesauce, diced carrots, wheat bread with margarine, orange, and milk.
