YOUNGSTOWN

In addition to conducting its regular annual membership drive, Stambaugh Pillars are offering a new membership category for young people.

Because many young people attend events at the auditorium, the committee decided that offering them a membership in their specific category would provide the youth of the community with a feeling of ownership in the auditorium.

The levels of memberships available are Junior, Family, Business, Tuscan, Doric, Ionic and Corinthian, with prices ranging from $10 to $1,000. For additional membership information call the auditorium office at 330-747-5175.

The Pillars are affiliated with the auditorium and its mission is to develop and perpetuate interest in the auditorium and to provide financial support through fundraising efforts.

The Pillars have raised many thousands of dollars for improvements and upgrades at the auditorium. In the past year, the group has given $20,00 to the trustees for the E.M. Skinner pipe organ restoration.

Carol Desmond is the chairwoman of the membership committee, which comprises David Armstrong, Phyllis Wilkoff, Barbara Banks, Elayne Bozick and Donald Mathews.
