Hubbard township, city apply for state grant for tire disposal

HUBBARD — Hubbard Township and city have applied for $4,000 in state-grant funds for the collection and disposal of scrap tires.

The joint effort is coordinated by Fred Hanley, township trustee, and Lanier Eppinger, city service director.

In the past three years, more than 4,800 scrap tires have been collected. Collection and drop-off dates will be advertised if the application is approved by Geauga-Trumbull Solid Waste Management District.
