Reese Witherspoon weds agent beau

Reese Witherspoon has walked down the aisle.

A spokeswoman for the actress says the “Walk the Line” star wed her fianc , Hollywood agent Jim Toth, in Ojai, Calif., about 90 miles north of Los Angeles. Publicist Nicole Perna did not reveal details about the Saturday ceremony.

Usmagazine.com first reported the nuptials.

The Oscar-winning actress and Toth announced their engagement in December. She was previously married to actor Ryan Phillippe, with whom she has two children: 11-year-old daughter Ava and 7-year-old son Deacon.

Creator of Super Glue dies at 94

KINGSPORT, Tenn.

Harry Wesley Coover Jr., known as the inventor of Super Glue, has died. He was 94.

Coover was working for Tennessee Eastman Company, a division of Eastman Kodak, when an accident helped lead to the popular adhesive being discovered, according to his grandson, Adam Paul of South Carolina.

An assistant was distressed that some brand- new refractometer prisms were ruined when they were glued together by the substance.

In 1951, Coover and another researcher recognized the potential for the strong adhesive, and it was first sold in 1958, according to the Super Glue Corp.’s website.

Coover died Saturday at his home in Kingsport, Tenn.

DJ Megatron killed

NEW YORK

Urban radio and TV personality DJ Megatron has been shot to death in New York City.

His manager says the occasional BET television segment host was killed while heading to a store near his Staten Island home around 2 a.m. Sunday. Police say the 32-year-old, born Corey McGriff, was found dead with a gunshot wound to his chest. No arrests have been made.

DJ Megatron worked for hip-hop and R&B stations in New York, Boston and Philadelphia before going to work for BET’s “106 & Park” music countdown show.

‘Wimpy Kid’ rules with $24.4M opening

LOS ANGELES

A wimpy kid has delivered a knock-out punch to a band of warrior vixens at the weekend box office.

The 20th Century Fox family sequel “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules” debuted as the No. 1 movie with $24.4 million, according to studio estimates Sunday. The girl-power action fantasy “Sucker Punch,” released by Warner Bros., opened at No. 2 with $19 million.

Rounding out the top five were “Limitless” in third place with $15.2 million; “The Lincoln Lawyer” in fourth with $11 million; and “Rango” in fifth with $9.8 million.
