Youth killed in shooting near East Side corner

YOUNGSTOWN

Youngstown police are investigating a fatal shooting on the city’s East Side about 5 p.m. Saturday.

Police said the victim was a minor who was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center.

The victim’s name was not released pending notification of relatives. There were no other injuries, they said.

The shooting occurred near the intersection of McGuffey Road and Stewart Avenue.

Police said they’re looking for three suspects.

No other information was available late Saturday night.
