YOUNGSTOWN
The No Stone Unturned Foundation will benefit from a pancake breakfast from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 17 at Mount Carmel Social Hall, on Via Mount Carmel.
The foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping children with health issues or disabilities and their families.
Eric Wolford, head football coach at Youngstown State University, and his wife, Dr. Melinda Wolford, established the foundation. They were inspired by their son Stone, who was diagnosed at age 2 with cardio-facio-cutaneous syndrome (CFC), a rare genetic disorder.
Highlights of Pancakes With Stone will feature Coach Wolford and the assistant coaches, and YSU football players, who will meet, greet and sign autographs.
Media representatives will be WFMJ’s Dana Balash, WKBN’s Ryan Allison, and WYTV’s Chad Krispinsky. There will be a 50-50 raffle and a basket auction featuring YSU sports items. A special feature will be the sale of YSU necklaces (as worn by coaches’ wives) and polo shirts with the No Stone Unturned logo.
Committee members are Melinda Wolford, Diana D’Alesio, Lou Fusillo and Julie Costas.
Tickets cost $10 for adults and $5 for children 10 and under. For tickets or more information visit www.nostonefoundation.org or call 330-533-7169.
