Mr., Mrs. Farris, family will mark 60th anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Edward Farris of Boardman are celebrating 60 years of marriage during a family dinner today at the home of their son and daughter-in-law, John and Laura Farris of Poland.

Also hosting the celebration are their other sons and daughters-in-law, Edward J. (Phyllis) Farris Jr. and George (Marie) Farris, all of Boardman.

The couple have six grandchildren, and they are awaiting the birth of their first great-grandchild, who is due June 3.

Mr. Farris and the former Carmella Massaro were married March 28, 1951, at St. Maron Church in Youngstown, where they are members.

Mrs. Farris is a homemaker and Mr. Farris retired in 1988 as the owner of A-1 Beverage in Struthers. He is an Army veteran of the Korean War.
