Northside Medical Center has received The American Heart Association’s Get With The Guidelines — Heart Failure Gold Plus Quality Achievement Award. The award recognizes excellence in dealing with patients who suffer heart failure. The medical center is at 500 Gypsy Lane in Youngstown.

Karen Lambert was named employee of the year at Shepherd of the Valley’s Boardman location. Lambert is a nurse scheduler who has been with the company since 2003. She lives in Negley with her husband.

InfoCision Management Corp. received the Outstanding Corporate Citizen Award from the American Teleservices Association. The award recognizes companies for their charitable contributions to their communities. InfoCision also received the award in 2008. The Akron-based teleservice company operates 34 call centers in Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

Sidney G. Jones, a financial adviser at Merrill Lynch’s Canfield office, was listed in Barron’s magazine as one of America’s top 1,000 financial advisers. Rankings are determined by client balances, return on assets, client satisfaction and retention, compliance records and community contributions, according to a press release. Jones has been a Merrill Lynch employee since 1982.

Shawna L. L’Italien, an attorney with Harrington, Hoppe & Mitchell, Ltd., has received the Ohio State Bar Foundation’s District 13 2011 Community Service Award for Attorneys 40 and Under. L’Italien, who is employed at the law firm’s Salem office, was recognized for her work with local nonprofit organizations. Harrington, Hoppe & Mitchell, Ltd., has offices in Youngstown, Warren and Salem.
