“Community Connection” (6:30 a.m. Sunday on 21 WFMJ-TV; and 10 a.m. Tuesday on Time Warner Cable community access channel): Aware of the need for educator resources, Turning Technologies Inc. has formed the Turning Foundation, a nonprofit arm, to provide minigrants to teachers. John Wilson, director of the foundation, and Shari Lackasee, a teacher at Taft Elementary School, will join host Madonna Chism Pinkard to discuss the grant process.

Next, Brian Higgins, executive director of Big Brothers and Sisters of the Mahoning Valley, and Justine Banks, site-base coordinator with the organization, will discuss the upcoming Bowl for Kids Sake Bowl-A-Thon and the need for volunteers.
